# IDS-Connect: your wholesaler's shop inside the quote

IDS-Connect is the integrated data interface of the German trades. It opens your wholesaler's web shop from inside your software, you fill a cart, and the cart comes back into your quote with article numbers, quantities and your own negotiated prices. No second window, no retyped article numbers, no prices from a catalogue that is a quarter old.

## How you know you need it

Article numbers are retyped from the shop into the quote.

Quote prices come from a catalogue that is months old.

After the quote goes out, two items turn out to have gone up.

The same order is entered twice: once in the shop, once in the job.

Nobody knows at costing time whether the article is even available.

## What an IDS connection can do

Which of these are actually available depends on the shop. KraftHub asks when connecting and shows what the shop really answered, rather than what it ought to support.

Endpoint and version are already stored for G. Hoffmann, Holter, Nerlich & Lesser, Richter+Frenzel, Sanitär-Heinze and Sonepar; you only add your own credentials. The list is a convenience, not a limit — any wholesaler with an IDS interface can be connected.
