The time does not go into calculating. It goes into gathering.
A bill of quantities with a few hundred positions goes to three wholesalers. What comes back are partial quotes as UGL files or PDFs, sometimes with ordinal numbers, sometimes without, with accessories and freight as lines of their own. Someone has to match every line to the right position.
Even then the material price is only half the position. The installation time sits in another list, the hourly rate in the costing sheet, the markup in the estimator's head. Where none of it fits, the price is copied from an old quote — an average, not a calculation.
What is missing only shows in the post-calculation: a position priced as material that asked for supply and installation.

The workflow in the product
Every quote line at its position.
A wholesaler never prices the whole bill of quantities and never writes it the way it was tendered. KraftHub reads what they send and matches it — the work that happens in the inbox today.
- UGL files (02.00, 04.00, 05.00) and PDF quotes are read: article, quantity, net and list price, ordinal number.
- Lines with an ordinal number land at their position, even when it is written differently. A quote for “01.04.10+20” counts for both positions, each with its share.
- Accessories and freight without an ordinal number of their own go with the line above — as long as the quantity fits.
- The wholesaler is recognised by the article numbers in your catalogues and installation times, even when the UGL file names no sender.
- Request, project and commission numbers stay on the quote. When the totals in a PDF do not match its lines, the card shows a note — the quote is read all the same.
Installation is priced in, line by line.
Wholesalers deliver installation times per article as a DATANORM delivery of their own. KraftHub puts them next to every quote line and turns a material price into a position price.
- One active installation time delivery per wholesaler; a new delivery replaces the old one only once it has been read completely.
- The formula is minutes × factor × minute rate — the minute rate comes from your labour article, the factors per wholesaler and per site (old building, new building) from your settings.
- When a quote consists of several lines, each gets its own installation; lines without an installation time are named.
- One card per supplier line with an “incl. installation / material only” switch — both prices visible, one chosen.
Every price shows what it is made of.
No price without its origin: every position shows material and labour, minutes, markups and the source — in the bill of quantities and later in the quote.
- Markups per cost type from your costing; customers with their own pricing profile are priced with it.
- Articles without a stored selling price are priced from their purchase price with your costing — never at €0.
- The price source travels into the quote, e.g. “supplier quote · installation time · 42 min”.
- The whole price list with source, unit and total price can be exported as a spreadsheet.
